Causes of liver conditions include prolonged use of medications and drugs. Strong toxins can even lead to liver failure (hepatitis). Alcohol induces liver diseases more than viral liver diseases or other liver diseases caused by other factors. Hepatic steatosis (fatty liver) is characterized by an accumulation of fats in the liver, fats accumulated from consumed foods.
Even if all causes leading to the appearance of hepatic steatosis have not been discovered, the main determining factor is alcohol. There are cases when hepatic steatosis occurs in individuals who do not consume alcohol, and as a risk factor, obesity ranks second, improper diet can also lead, over time, to the appearance of hepatic steatosis. In the case of alcohol as a determining factor (alcoholic steatosis), hepatic steatosis can worsen to liver cancer.

Clay therapy acts in these cases in two ways: Internal treatment consists of consuming a glass of clay water (150 ml.), at least 30 minutes before main meals.
Clay water is prepared from Blue Clay and water, as follows: 100 gr. clay to 2 liters of still/spring water, which is mixed with a wooden spoon and left to homogenize for at least 4 hours. In the first three days, only clear water from the clay will be consumed, followed by the consumption of turbid/agitated water for the next 17 days before consumption (so-called "clay milk"). After this period, a 7-day break is taken during which clear water from the clay will be consumed again. As the water in the vessel decreases, it will be replenished with more water with clay.
The duration is a minimum of 3 cycles (months), then it is recommended to consume clear water from the clay periodically or depending on the severity of the disease for life.

External treatment consists of applying thin poultices in the liver area, which will be maintained for 2 hours (if a feeling of cold, bad mood, or pain occurs), the duration of keeping the poultice will be reduced. If well tolerated, thicker layers of poultices (approx. 2 cm) will be applied. Otherwise, warm poultices will be applied.
The poultice is made by applying the clay paste directly on the skin, covered with nylon/cellophane or a damp cloth to maintain the paste's moisture for the entire duration it needs to be kept. Poultices are applied twice a day, usually in the evening and morning.

The recommended diet during the treatment will not contain coffee, alcohol, fats, milk, and the consumption of fish, chicken meat, vegetables, and fruits is recommended. The treatment lasts for 21-24 days with a 7-day rest, after which the cycle is repeated until complete healing. Depending on the stage of the disease, studies show that 3-6 cycles are necessary.

Recommendations for the most efficient use of Blue Clay compresses/poultices
To make the composition, Blue Clay is mixed (in a glass, wood, or ceramic vessel) with warm water until a dense paste is obtained. Before application, the paste must be left to mature for approx. 4 hours.

Poultices are applied to the affected areas so that the covered surface is slightly larger than the treated area and covered with nylon/cellophane foil to keep the moisture of the composition (dry clay has no therapeutic effect). The duration of application of the poultices is usually 1.5 - 2 hours.

To increase efficiency, the paste can be combined with small amounts of oils, tinctures, or plant macerates, depending on the condition. The application of poultices on the abdominal area should be avoided by women during the menstrual cycle.
