Mild burns as well as first-degree burns (caused by the sun, acid, etc.), second-degree burns, and larger ones will initially be treated in a sterile environment in a specialized medical setting.
To treat, a cold compress should be applied to the affected area, followed by thick layers of blue clay poultices. Poultices should be changed in the first few days, 3-5 times, until pain relief is achieved. Recommendations for the most effective use of Blue Clay compresses/poultices:
To prepare the composition, Blue Clay is mixed (in a glass, wood, or ceramic container) with warm water until a thick paste is obtained. Before application, the paste should be left for about 4 hours to mature.
Poultices are applied to the affected areas in such a way that the covered surface is slightly larger than the treated area and covered with plastic wrap to retain the moisture of the composition (dry clay does not have therapeutic effects). The application duration of poultices is usually 1.5 - 2 hours.
To increase efficiency, the paste can be combined with small amounts of oils, tinctures, or plant macerates, depending on the condition. Application of poultices on the abdominal area should be avoided by women during menstruation.
Recommended Products: 1-2 units Blue Clay Paste - 500 gr.
