Clay therapy acts in these cases in two ways: Internal treatment involves consuming a glass of clay water (150 ml) at least 30 minutes before main meals.
Clay water is prepared from Blue Clay and water as follows: 100 gr. clay to 2 liters of still/spring water, mixed with a wooden spoon and left to homogenize for at least 4 hours. In the first three days, only clear water from the clay will be consumed, followed by consuming cloudy/agitated water before consumption for the next 17 days (the so-called clay milk), after this period, a break of 7 days is taken during which clear water from the clay will be consumed again. As the water in the container decreases, it will be replenished with more water mixed with clay.
The duration is a minimum of 3 cycles (months), then it is recommended that clear water from the clay be consumed periodically or depending on the severity of the disease for life.
External treatment involves applying thin poultices in the liver area, which will be kept for 2 hours (if there is a sensation of cold, bad mood, pain), the duration of maintaining the poultice will be reduced. If well tolerated, poultices will be applied in thicker layers (about 2 cm). Otherwise, warm poultices will be applied.
The poultice is made by applying the clay paste directly on the skin, covered with nylon/cellophane or a damp cloth to maintain the moisture of the paste for the entire duration it needs to be maintained. Poultices are applied twice a day, usually in the evening and morning.
The recommended diet during treatment will not include coffee, alcohol, fats, milk, and it is recommended to consume fish, chicken, vegetables, and fruits. Treatment lasts for 21-24 days with a rest period of 7 days, after which the cycle is repeated until complete healing. Depending on the stage of the disease, studies show that 3-6 cycles are necessary. Recommendations for the most efficient use of Blue Clay poultices
To prepare the composition, Blue Clay is mixed (in a glass, wood, or ceramic vessel) with warm water until a dense paste is obtained. Before application, the paste should be left to mature for about 4 hours.
Poultices are applied to the affected areas in such a way that the covered surface is slightly larger than the treated area and covered with nylon/cellophane to maintain the moisture of the composition (dry clay has no therapeutic effect). The duration of applying the poultices is usually 1.5 - 2 hours.
For increased effectiveness, the paste can be combined with small amounts of oils, tinctures, or plant macerates, depending on the condition. It is recommended to avoid applying poultices to the abdominal area by women during menstruation.
